Personality Faceaurus

(pronunciation: face-or-us)

Description

Faceaurus is a compilation (thesaurus) of faces that are digital combinations of people high and low in personality traits, such as the Big 5 and the Dark Triad. One key methodological advance is that most of these faces are based on both self-reports and peer reports of personality. More details are in this article: PDF

Video

This video transitions across degrees of psychopathy in female prototypes. The letter "P" indicates the highest psychopathy. The absence of a "P" indicates the lowest psychopathy. YouTube allows you to pause the video, so that you can freeze each frame.

Ethics

All of the prototypes are comprised of faces of participants who proceeded through a carefully articulated consent process approved by the University ethics committee. Each prototype consists of 10 faces, so as to disguise the identities of those involved.

Distribution

These faces are for scientific research and teaching purposes only. You may use these faces for these purposes without any further permissions, but please do keep me up-to-date on your findings.

Acknowledgements
